Return Air Grilles

There are so many cold air return styles to choose from! We also have return air grilles (Click to view) , side wall return, return air grills, cold air grill. You will not believe how many choices you have to find what you want! Air grilles are often centrally located in a main room. Because they are so prominent, why not have grilles that add some pizazz? After all, if it doesn't add...it subtracts. Return air grilles are typically made from cheap and unattractive steel lightly coated with some industrial looking drab paint. In contrast, our metal registers are made from solid brass, copper, or stainless steel. Our metal cold air returns are available in some great designs that you won't be finding at your local big box hardware store. Plus, we make these registers to any size you need...and we've seen some oddball sizes before! Not everyone can boast that they have custom made units such as these! The existing motifs shown on our site include the popular mission style, which looks great in a wide variety of houses, but especially craftsman or contemporary structures. There is also an intricate basket weave design, as well as the ever popular honeycomb pattern. We will be introducing a teardrop design shortly...watch for it!

If you have a vintage charmer house you may have existing eggcrate style registers. Often over the last one hundred years the wooden slats may have been broken. It is rare to find one in good condition. Our eggcrate style returns are made in a much higher quality manner than those from many years ago. It is difficult not to appreciate the classy look of the eggcrate style. Eggcrate style units are by far the best choice for using in a floor application. The geometric and metal registers are best suited for wall or ceiling applications, truth be told.

If you are looking for wooden returns or registers and want to find something with an unusual and classy appearance then you might try taking a peek at our geometric registers. The highly unusual motifs are precision cut with a laser out of high grade plywoods which can be had in a variety of facing woods including cherry, oak, maple, and paint grade. Not only are the geometric type grilles available in a wide variety of standard sizes, but we can also make them for in any oddball size you might need. In fact, we recently made one that was twenty six feet long! Of course, that was made in segments. What an unusual job!

Before contacting us to discuss your needs it is a good idea to measure your existing duct openings accurately. If you have more than one you will want to measure each one individually. Often, it is tempting to assume that all openings are the same dimensions, but they may actually be slightly different. Also, you will want to give some thought as to which way you want the patterns to run if you are ordering the metal units. For example, do you want the slats in the mission style return to be running the long ways or the short ways? Also, you will want to give some consideration to which type of wood you think would be appropriate. There are many different woods to choose from in the eggcrate style. If you have an existing oak floor and you want to match it then most likely you will want red oak, which is the type of oak that is most commonly used for these sorts of units.
